GoldMine email client
You should upgrade if you have any version before Goldmine 5.7. Earlier versions
would send the string user@virtual-domain@@domain.com -- which of course will
cause authentication issues because of the @@.
When setting up the client, here are some things to look for:
Go into Preferences / Internet and put in the normal pop and SMTP server names.
User name should be user@domain.com and enter your password in the password
field. Here are some special Goldmine Client settings:
Click on accounts and highlight the mail account.
Authentication should be set to: "Pass"
Then Click on Advanced options and check Outgoing SMTP (My server required
authentication).
Authentication options here should be set to: "Login/Plain"
Username: yourusername@yourdomain.com
password: your password
The two options above will cause problems unless "Pass" and
"Login/Plain" are selected.
